MUDFLAPS (and other obligatory equipments) |
|
 |
 |
| |
 |
|
Since a short
time FIA and FFSA rules are quite similar according safety
equipments.
Mudflaps
: they must be solid, semi-rigid and far from wheels enough to avoid
being "swallowed" ! A elles doivent être solides, semi-rigides et assez éloignées des
roues pour ne pas se faire "avaler" !
A holding strap might be welcome...
Tow hooks :
they must be strongly fixed to the chassis in order to avoid
breaking or opening during an powerful "strap blow".
Rear lights
: new LED lights are clearly visible, they avoid collision in dust...ESSENTIAL
!l
Circuit breakers : to preserve and to maintain frequently
because they jam easily. |

BRAKING |
|
 |
 |
| |
Even if in
cross-country adherence is not identical to asphalt rally, braking
system needs special care.
From experience,
rigid ducts tend to break...It's preferable to repalce them on 4X4
with "aviation" type hoses, supple and covered on
some sections exposed to stones spitting.
Faceplates and
brake callipers may also be oversized; after all, it's only a
quesion of preferences... and budget ! |
