Crucial complement
of a tubular frame chassis, the composit body comes generally from a
series vehicle which served for mould realisation.
It often occurs
to realise composit elements for traditional 4X4, entire bumpers or
fenders broadeners for example.
Polyester, epoxy, carbon or Kevlar ?
Among different composit materials, polyester is the most frequently
used and the less expensive. For a better rigidity, we will choose
carbon often associated to Kevlar for a soliditu guarantee (with
epoxy resin).
MoreoverKevlar
is often used for protection elements realisation (skis, armour
platings...) and for parts subject to severe tests like arches.
On the opposite
side, a few examples of moulds realised on a VW Touareg and
unfinished parts obtained after removal.
