For this contest
considered as an "orientation raid", we listed below necessary equipment
to plan:
- 1 safety
rollbar (6 points, bolted or welded)
- 2 bucket seats + 2 seats supports
- 2 safety harness (4 or 6 points)
- 8 wheels (tires and rims, 2 in RS, 2 in ass.)
- 4 reenforced shock absorbers
- 4 reenforced springs (or torsion bars)
- 1 aluminium lower armour plating (front ski)
- 2 compasses and bearing compass
- 1 tripmaster + navigation board
- 1 air compressor + tube + manometer
- 4 sand out plates
- 1 or 2 shovels
- 1 strong jack or inflatable
- 4 wheel mudflaps
- 2 2 kg extinguishers
- 1 tow strap
+ reinforcement of some vehicles parts (shock absorbers fixation,
engine and gearbox supports, battery, exhaust...)
According
vehicle type, budget for new accessories buying and preparation may
vary between 8.000 et 10.000 Euros HT.
With a
second-hand vehicle Pajero 2.8L or L200 type, a prepared and ready
to go vehicle will cost about 22.000 Euros.
