FIA/FT3 TANK INSTALLATION |

In order to reach
required autonomy to ride through african contests (Dakar, Tunisia...),
a FT3 tank installation in complement or in replacement of origin
tank is essential.
This tank is
composed with a rubber bag containing foam (FIA/FT3 norm) enclosed
in an aluminium box to secure its containment.
Important points
:
- safety (FT3, connections...)
- vehicle balance
- integration and fixation
- aspiration, filling up, air vent, cleaning out. |

This outfit must
be wisely studied to avoid affecting vehicle balance when it's full
or nearly empty.
Therby, in order to lower at most centre of gravity, we chose to
build a 315 litresrather flat tank which fills the 4X4 whole
rear floor.
As you may see
on this picture, a 12 litres outflow box is integrated on Pajero
floor to pick the last fuel litres, avoiding disgauging when it's
almost empty.
